Is The Astonishing Human Body An Evolutionary Accident?
The world is full of wondrous sights and sounds. Have you ever been awestruck by the millions of stars dotting the night sky or the beauty of a hummingbird seemingly suspended in midair, beating its wings 15 to 20 times per second? Were you astonished by the ocean’s glory reflecting in the moonlight across the waves or enjoyed the sweet sound of birds chirping in the trees?
Have you ever wondered what a marvelous creature you are? Consider the engineering marvels which must occur to create the person you see in the mirror each day. Could your body have been made by an evolutionary accident?
Consider How the Human Body is Created.
Are you amazed at human creation itself? Two germ cells unite to become a human embryo. The female and male cells contain all the hereditary features required to form a new and unique body. All this information is stored in a space so small the naked eye can’t see it. Each chromosome contains thousands of genes that follow a precise pattern of development.
The cells multiply and divide. Some cells become eyes, some ears, and others become the foundation of a heart or brain.
Let’s take a minute to review this unique system of interrelated and interdependent components in the human body and ask ourselves if this engineering marvel could have been created by an evolutionary accident.
Could an Evolutionary Accident Become a Human Heart?
A tiny heart begins to beat about 22 days after the two germ cells unite.
The human heart is a powerful pump controlled by four valves. Its job is to maintain blood flow throughout the body. Each valve is as pliable as a parachute and as dainty as a silk scarf. But strong enough to open and close 100,000 times a day and rugged enough to withstand this wear and tear almost indefinitely unless compromised by disease.
With over 4000 years of advancement, man has yet to develop a fabric that can be flexed so frequently for so long without breaking.
Each day the heart pumps enough fluid to fill a 2000-gallon tank. The work performed is equivalent to repeatedly lifting a 150-pound man to the top of the Empire State Building.
Connected to the heart is an electrical generator that sends signals down individual lines, causing the muscles to beat in coordination and perfect rhythm. Yet, this marvelous and powerful pump is only about the size of a man’s fist.
Can you imagine an evolutionary accident created this marvelous and intricate pump?
Was the Human Camera an Evolutionary Accident?
Have you ever looked in the mirror and watched your pupils dilating? Our pupils dilate to allow more light into the eye when you need to see better and constrict to reduce the glare allowed to reach your sensitive retinas. Furthermore, in front of each eye is an auto-focusing lens which enables you to see both far and near. Finally, the nerves and muscles in your two eyes allow you to see one three-dimensional image.
Our eyes connect to the brain recording the sites we see and creating memories in our brains based on the things we see. No external connections are needed, no wires, and no batteries. You don’t need to touch a button to take a picture.
The most highly developed camera cannot begin to compare with the sophistication of the human eye.

Could an evolutionary accident create as sophisticated a camera as the human eye?
Is the Human Stereo System an Evolutionary Accident?
Stereophonic systems created by humans consist of receivers, amplifiers, and speakers. The quality of the equipment defines the excellence of the sound.
The human ear is engineered brilliantly. All the equipment needed to perceive sound is packed into an area about the size of a marble embedded in each ear.
In addition, this marvelous sound system is connected to a recording device found in the brain.
Could this tiny stereo system be created by an evolutionary Accident?

Is The Finest Computer in The World An Evolutionary Accident?
The human brain is an intricate combination of power cells constantly documenting the sights and sounds you see and hear and recording those experiences as memories. Without the connection to the brain, the human camera and stereo system would be useless. Without the heart pumping blood, none of the elements of the body could live.
The brain is also the headquarters of our personality and character. Its capacity is seemingly infinite.
Even the most advanced computers man has created don’t begin to compare with the brain’s capabilities. Yet, some would like us to believe this fantastic computer was created by an evolutionary accident.
The Human Body, a Creation of a Divine Engineer
Science can’t begin to duplicate the engineering marvel of the human body. Some success has occurred in the creation of prosthetics and making some repairs. But not replacing the body’s intricate systems like eyes, ears, brains, and circulatory systems.
Because of the similarities between species, some believe in organic evolution from one form to another, eventually producing humans. They would have you believe our bodies came about from thousands of accidents over millions of years.
The idea that a mindless dollop of phytoplasma can trans-mutate into a person must declare that each individual system within the body occurred by accident, even though each system is dependent on all the other systems within the body.
I can’t imagine millions of accidental microscopic changes created this incredible engineering feat. It is far easier for me to believe a Superior Intelligence engineered our bodies. (as shorthand, I would use the word God)
I can’t fathom this all came about by evolutionary accident. It would be like finding an exquisite watch in the desert and not believing there was a watchmaker who created and designed it. The precision with which various physical elements are coordinated to produce a human body is staggering. Fine-tuning is multifaceted, and each facet is crucial for human existence.
The decision to believe in a Divine Creator is a spiritual one. Not a decision to be made solely on insights about physical things. In the Bible, we read: “The natural man receiveth, not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Corinthians 2:14)
For me, studying the human body attests to a Divine Engineer.
